Why Choose Barron Industries for Offshore Casting

The United States has a stable relationship with India that provides the predictable security of supply you need versus the unstable and volatile situation between China and North America.

Barron Industries operates our own domestic casting and machining operation in the the United States, which serve as a redundancy manufacturing “backup” should there be unforeseen delays in oversees supply. We maintain 2 to 4 weeks safety stock held at Barron Industries in the U.S. to prevent supply interruption.

Barron’s partners have been an integral part of our company’s value proposition for over 20 years. They have been carefully selected and work exclusively with us for the North American market.

Barron’s India partners are best-in-class leaders in the casting industry with a combined 150 years of manufacturing experience. Each operates to the highest ISO and IATF standards. Every casting is hand inspected at Barron’s U.S. facility before it is delivered to our customers to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained.

Allow Barron to leverage our strong network of offshore casting manufacturers to provide you with a single-source solution. We will manage your supply and reduce the cost of doing business overseas.

Eliminate the difficult burden of having to manage multiple suppliers on your own by using Barron Industries as your single source for all your casting, machining, assembly, and testing needs. Offload the day-to-day program management tasks to our experienced team at Barron Industries.

Barron never leaves your side throughout the program. From program launch to end of service, you purchase directly from Barron Industries, which manages, warehouses, and ships F.O.B. from our Michigan facility. Barron handles all aspects of the program including process development, initial launch, order and inventory management, logistics, customs/clearance costs, quality assurance, and domestic warehousing.

You can rely on Barron to develop the strategic sourcing plan that best meets your individual needs. Barron offers a holistic approach that includes using our domestic manufacturing capabilities for alloy and design optimization, prototyping, and low-volume “gap” production while we oversee the launch of your program at one of our offshore strategic partners for high-volume/high-quality investment casting, sand casting, and high-pressure die casting.

How Our High-Volume Casting Program Works

Barron Industries has partnered with three India foundries to expand our production capabilities and serve global markets more effectively. Our partners meet our quality standards to produce castings at a more competitive price. These cast parts are then shipped back to the United States for further processing, inspection, assembly, or direct distribution to customers. This approach allows Barron Industries to offer cost-effective high-volume solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and service for our customers globally.

Our process generally involves the following steps:

Design & Prototyping

Barron Industries develops detailed designs and prototypes, often in collaboration with our customers, to ensure the parts meet the required specifications.

Outsourcing Production

The manufacturing of the cast parts is outsourced to India foundries that have the capability to produce the required parts using various casting methods (e.g., investment casting, sand casting, die casting).

Quality Control

Despite being produced offshore, quality control remains a top priority. Barron Industries maintains stringent quality assurance processes, including regular inspections and testing to ensure that the offshore-produced parts meet our standards.

Logistics & Supply Chain Management

The castings produced offshore are then shipped to Barron Industries or directly to our customers. Efficient logistics and supply chain management are crucial to minimize lead times and costs.

Final Processing

Once the cast parts are received, Barron Industries performs additional finishing processes, such as machining, heat treatment, or surface coating, before delivering the final product to the customer.
